In our next NAPSA Member Spotlight, we ask Shannon Holdstock, Director of South East based Starris Property why she got into the property sourcing sector and what advice she would give to others in the sector.
About Starris Property
Based in Oxford, Starris Property will be focussing on the Buy To Let and Houses in Multiple Occupation investment strategies in Oxfordshire.
Shannon and Neil, directors of Starris Property have lived and worked in Oxford for almost 20 years, enabling them to have gained invaluable knowledge of the area and the property market within the Oxfordshire area.

Focus Strategies: Buy-To-Let (BTL). House in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
Why did you want to become a sourcer?
Neil and Shannon (husband and wife duo) have always wanted to expand into property and after Shannon’s family business closure, she threw herself into research and education of the different property strategies. Shannon settled on property sourcing as it worked to the strengths of both the directors, whose backgrounds are property and project management.
What would you like to see from the sourcing sector?
More compliant property sourcers and investors working with compliant sourcers. There are many people and companies out there that are selling this amazing dream, but operationally are not compliant.

We joined NAPSA, to ensure that we operate in a legal and compliant manner every day, providing integrity and trust for all our clients.
Any advice you would give to people thinking of going into sourcing?
Property sourcing is not a quick win, it takes time and perseverance to get all the ‘ducks in a row’ and build up the knowledge and maintain that knowledge.
